How to build a habit in your life?
Building habit is a key part to live a happier life. Good habits can make you a successful person in your personal and professional life.
After a few views on my last post, I got DM to put my thoughts on how to build a habit. So here I am putting my thoughts on building a long-lasting habit in your daily routine.

You may be wondering why I am writing this!😊 So, I have built a couple of good (and bad) habits in my life such as waking up at 5 AM, reading book one hour daily & a couple of more.
While writing this post I am assuming that you know the benefits of forming a habit in your life.
Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement. Becoming 1% better every day counts for a lot in the long run.
Have you ever wondered why you want to build a habit? What is the motivation behind creating a habit?
The answer is a goal. You want to achieve something which needs to have a habit. Your goal is the only motivation which will push you daily to be consistent on your habit.
The goal of a normal person could be:
To gain muscles
To become a reader
To become a swimmer
To become a better meditator
Now that, you have a goal which you want to achieve. As a next step, think about the ways to achieve your goal.
Ways to achieve the above goals could be:
Start exercise
Start reading
Start Swimming
Start meditation
You have a goal and the ways to achieve the goal in front of you and now let’s think about the execution.

For instance, If your goal is to gain muscles then you have to start exercising and form that habit in your daily routine. You have to find time in your day-to-day activity and start exercising. I know it is very hard to allocate one hour of your time from the busy schedule that you are going through.
I would recommend you to make a plan for when and where you will exercise (a new habit), don’t think that you will start exercise when you will just remember to do it or whenever you feel motivated you will do it. If you think you are lacking motivation then it’s not motivation the real lack is clarity of when and where you will perform the new habit.
For example, I will exercise for (when) one hour at 5 AM in (when) my nearest gym
If you don’t have time, create it. You owe it to yourself to change your life!
Prepare a plan for your next day on what you want to do to get closer to the goal. So in my case before going to bed I usually prepare my exercise plan for the next morning. So if you have a plan with you, the chances are very less that you skip it.
Stick to your habit and give your new habit a time and a space to live in the world. The goal is to make the time and location so obvious that, with enough repetition, you get an urge to do the right thing at the right time.
